Andrea Mantovani is a Full Professor at Toulouse Business School (TBS Education) and holds an Associate Professor position at the University of Bologna (currently on unpaid leave). He is an Associate Member of the Toulouse School of Economics. His academic journey includes a PhD in Quantitative Economics from CORE, Université Catholique de Louvain, and a PhD in Economics from the University of Bologna. Mantovani's research focuses on industrial economics, digital platforms, competition policy, game theory, and environmental economics. He has published in top journals like Management Science and the Journal of the European Economic Association.
Education highlights include his M.A. in Economics (University Catholique de Louvain) and a Laurea in Political Science with Economics from the University of Bologna. He has held visiting appointments at institutions such as the EU Science Hub and the Kellogg School of Management.
His research interests span platform regulation, innovation economics, and environmental policies. Recent work examines price parity clauses, digital health, and cloud computing economics. He has received multiple awards, including the 2024 Best Teacher award and the 2018 Distinguished Teaching Award. His grants include the ANR AAPG (2021) and multiple NET Institute grants.
Mantovani advises on projects like the TEPREME initiative on telemedicine and health innovation. He leads the MSc in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management at TBS and has coordinated international academic programs. His professional activities include consulting on regulatory frameworks and economic analysis for legal firms.
