Andrea Ichino is a Professor of Economics at the European University Institute (EUI) in Fiesole, Italy, on leave from the University of Bologna. He holds a PhD from MIT. His research focuses on labor economics, taxation policy, gender economics, and public policy, particularly on gender-based taxation and education reforms. He has authored numerous influential papers and co-authored the book *L'Italia fatti in casa* (2009).
Educated at Bocconi University (B.A.) and MIT (PhD), Ichino has held roles at EUI and Bologna, contributing to policy debates on women's employment, tax reforms, and school systems. His work challenges traditional gender roles through fiscal policy, advocating for differentiated taxation to balance family labor.
