Andrea Guerra is an Associate member of COSTECH (EA 2223) at the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC), serving as Head of the iTerra Acceleration Program (an incubator/accelerator) and Horizon Europe National Contact Point. He teaches the SH07 — Innovation and Entrepreneurship course modeled on UC Berkeley methodologies.
His academic qualifications include:
- Joint doctorate in engineering sciences from UTC and Politecnico of Turin focusing on "MULTI-USERS COMPUTER TOOLS IN EARLY DESIGN PHASES"
- Master's in Innovation, Knowledge, Interaction at UTC
- Computer engineering diploma from UTC
Guerra's research examines Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) with emphasis on Low-Tech, Fablab, and Bioeconomy applications. Current projects analyze DIY approaches' impact on rural communities, startup success characteristics, and Generative AI's influence on brainstorming within CSCW/CSCWD frameworks.
As iTerra Acceleration Program Head, he drives startup incubation and innovation initiatives. His Horizon Europe role connects researchers with European funding opportunities.
He operates within COSTECH's CRY team, which integrates Cognitive Sciences, Management Sciences, Industrial Engineering, and Design disciplines.
