Dr. Andrea Glenn is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Alabama and a core faculty member of the Center for Youth Development and Intervention (CYDI). She received her PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and completed postdoctoral training at Singapore's Institute of Mental Health.
Her research examines biopsychosocial factors in externalizing psychopathology, emphasizing psychopathic traits and the role of untreated ADHD in antisocial behavior development. She investigates biological markers including hormone assays (cortisol, testosterone) and neurocognitive mechanisms. Dr. Glenn teaches courses on Biological Bases of Psychological Disorders and ADHD Research.
She mentors graduate students in developmental psychology studying disruptive behaviors through diverse methodological approaches including physiological measures and intervention studies.
