Dr Andrea Gilli is a Lecturer in the School of International Relations at the University of St Andrews. His research focuses on military technology, international security, and strategic studies, with particular emphasis on NATO strategy, technological innovation in warfare, and counterinsurgency dynamics. He has supervised PhD student Ik Joon Min. His work explores topics such as drone warfare limitations, climate change impacts on military operations, and China’s military-technological challenges.
