Dr. Andrea Freidus serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of North Carolina Charlotte and coordinates the M.A./M.P.H. dual degree program. She holds a PhD in Anthropology from Michigan State University (2011), an MPH and MA in Anthropology from the University of South Florida (2005), and a BA from Vanderbilt University (1999). Her interdisciplinary work bridges applied medical anthropology with global public health, focusing on transnational aid networks, volunteer tourism, and health equity in resource-poor settings.
