Andrea Finegan is an Associate Tutor and Visiting Fellow at the University of East Anglia (UEA), affiliated with the Faculty of Science and the Accounting & Quantitative Methods group. She teaches across Norwich Business School and the School of Engineering, delivering modules in MBA Valuation, Corporate Sustainability, and Renewable and Wind Energy Engineering.

Her research focuses on responsible investment, renewable energy, and project finance, with a strong emphasis on sustainable financial systems and climate change mitigation. She is actively engaged in teaching and research that aligns with global sustainability goals, particularly in the energy and finance sectors.
Her sole listed publication, a book chapter from 2014, explores institutional investment behavior in carbon markets, reflecting a consistent focus on climate finance, ESG investing, and carbon market dynamics. The work demonstrates her expertise at the intersection of finance and environmental policy.
Andrea Finegan is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and the Higher Education Academy. She holds significant external roles, including Chair of the Greencoat Capital Valuation Committee and Non-Executive Director of Pantheon Infrastructure PLC.
She leads the PhD Business Boost Programme at UEA, supporting doctoral candidates. Her professional experience includes 30 years in investment banking and management, with leadership roles at Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital, and Greencoat Capital. She has contributed to EU Horizon 2020 research on battery energy storage integration.
She is a member of the Accounting, Finance and Governance Research Group and the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, where her work supports UN Sustainable Development Goals related to climate action and affordable clean energy.
