Andrea Durkin serves as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, teaching International Trade and Investment Policy for twenty years while concurrently leading international policy at the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). Her dual roles bridge academic theory with real-world trade advocacy for America's 13 million manufacturing professionals.
Her expertise spans International Trade, WTO Affairs, and Multilateral Negotiations, informed by her tenure as Assistant U.S. Trade Representative where she directed policy coordination across WTO committees, OECD, G7, and G20 forums. This practical experience shapes her instruction on global trade frameworks and regulatory challenges.
Drawing from decades of government service—including Western Hemisphere FTA negotiations and APEC sectoral initiatives—she integrates policy implementation insights into academic discourse. Her contributions extend to think tank advisory roles and leadership as former president of Women in International Trade, enriching student perspectives on trade policy development.
