Prof. Andrea Blunck holds a professorship in Mathematics and Gender Studies at the University of Hamburg’s Department of Mathematics. Her research spans Incidence Geometry, focusing on algebraic-geometric connections, and Gender Studies in STEM education. She has held academic positions since 2004, including roles as Equality Officer for the Department and spokesperson for Gender & Diversity initiatives. Her work integrates gender aspects into mathematics teaching and explores mathematical research as a social process. Notable roles include leadership in the Arbeitskreis Frauen und Mathematik (Women and Mathematics Working Group).
