Andrea Balz

Andrea Balz is a Lecturer and Researcher at the Faculty of Life Science, UAS Technikum Wien. She leads the Competence Center for Medical Engineering & Integrated Healthcare and specializes in Medical Physics & Imaging, Biosignal Acquisition, and Assistive Technologies. Her work also encompasses Optics and the application of Mixed Reality in Medicine. She actively participates in funded projects focused on eHealth digitization and innovative teaching methods.

Her research interests span interdisciplinary areas such as medical engineering, wearable biosignal technologies, and the integration of advanced imaging techniques in healthcare. Projects include leveraging mixed reality to enhance medical training and patient care.
