Andrea Atanasov is a researcher-trainee at the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade. She graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy (2021, avg. grade 9.75) and is currently pursuing her doctoral studies under Prof. Dr. Marin Jukić. Her work focuses on pharmacogenomics, neuroscience, and biomedical research.
- Born in Belgrade (1997), she studied at Petnica Research Station (chemistry program) and completed her academic training at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade.
- Recipient of multiple scholarships and awards, including the Professor Ivan Berkeš Science Fund award and two ECNP awards for excellence.
- Professional experience includes a 5-month Erasmus+ mobility at Karolinska Institute (Stockholm) under Prof. Magnus Ingelman-Sundberg and voluntary teaching of Human Morphology and Pharmaceutical Physiology since 2023.
Her research spans neuroscience, pharmacogenomics, and biomedical models, with participation in international conferences and collaborations in diffusion MRI and model systems for neuroscience research.
Scientific achievements include a top-tier journal publication (M21) and four international conference presentations. Awards include
