Dr. Andre Lamy is a Professor in the Department of Surgery at McMaster University and a cardiac surgeon at Hamilton Health Sciences. He is also a scientist at the Population Health Research Institute (PHRI). His research focuses on cardiac surgery, particularly off-pump CABG versus on-pump CABG, anticoagulant therapies, and graft patency. He has led major trials such as the CORONARY Trial, COMPASS-CABG, and VISION-Cardiac Surgery, and recently completed the DEPOSITION Trial on topical tranexamic acid.
