Andras Bozoki is a Professor at Central European University's Department of Political Science and a Research Affiliate at the CEU Democracy Institute. His work focuses on democratization, democratic decline, political regimes, and Central European politics. He has authored over 200 publications, including the book Rolling Transition and the Role of Intellectuals (2022). Bozoki has held fellowships at institutions like the Wissenschaftskolleg and UCLA, and served as a visiting professor at Columbia and Tübingen Universities. He previously served as Hungary's Minister of Culture (2005-2006) and participated in the 1989 national roundtable negotiations.
His research explores authoritarianism in Hungary, the role of intellectuals in political transitions, and EU membership dynamics. Key awards include the Istvan Bibo Prize and Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences title.
