Andoni Eguíluz

Andoni Eguíluz is a Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Deusto's Faculty of Engineering, where he coordinates the Computer Engineering Department and the Degree in Video Games and Extended Reality. With a PhD in Computer Engineering and MIT Advanced Studies, his research integrates educational technology, computational thinking, and smart city solutions. He co-founded Gizer.net (2004-2012) and leads the Ada Byron Award for Women in Technology initiative.

Research Focus: Develops innovative approaches to programming education through game-based learning and AI tutoring systems. Advances human-robot interaction using reinforcement learning and EEG-based adaptive control. Creates open-source urban mobility platforms integrating environmental sensors and GIS data visualization.
