Andi Shahu is a Research Fellow in Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale University’s Yale School of Medicine and Yale New Haven Hospital. He completed his MD at Yale School of Medicine (2018) and MHS (2018), with a BS in Molecular & Cellular Biology from Johns Hopkins University (2013). His clinical focus includes critical care cardiology, cardiovascular disease prevention, and echocardiography. His research emphasizes health equity, cardiovascular outcomes, and health policy. Notable awards include the Senior Resident Teaching Award (2021) and Miriam Kathleen Dasey Award (2018). Shahu has contributed to peer-reviewed articles on mechanical ventilation in cardiac ICUs, oxygen therapy optimization, and socioeconomic disparities in cardiovascular care. He is an active member of the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology. His work bridges clinical practice, research, and advocacy.
