Dr. Andi Nelson is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Health Sciences and Administration Department at the Usha Kundu, MD College of Health, University of West Florida (UWF). She has been a dedicated member of the UWF academic community since 2013, transitioning from an adjunct instructor to a full-time faculty member in 2015. As the High-Impact Practices (HIP) liaison, she supports faculty and students across the college in enhancing student engagement and success through evidence-based educational strategies.
Her research and teaching interests center on healthcare education, with a focus on online instruction in medical terminology, gerontology, and professional skill development. She emphasizes the importance of clear communication in healthcare careers and integrates real-world applicability into her curriculum. Her expertise bridges clinical practice and academic instruction, drawing from 25 years of experience as a physical therapist.
