Anderson Al Wazni is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the School for Social Work of Smith College. He is a doctoral candidate in social work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), having earned his M.S.W. from Smith College in 2014. His research focuses on the intersection of climate change, state infrastructure, and violence, alongside public policy advocacy rooted in anti-racist and social justice frameworks. He also serves as a public educator on Islamophobia and works with the North Carolina Area Health Education Centers to train clinicians and medical professionals on culturally competent care for Muslim populations.
