Dr. Anders Rykkja is a Lecturer in Arts & Cultural Industries Management at Queen's University Belfast's School of Arts, English and Languages. His research focuses on cultural economics, crowdfunding dynamics, and the digital transformation of cultural production. He holds an interdisciplinary profile with affiliations to the University of Agder's Crowdfunding Research Centre and Volda University College's cultural policy group. His teaching includes research methods, cultural entrepreneurship, and cultural industries management. Key research interests include platform economics, cultural institutions, and the impact of digitalization on creative ecosystems.
Education: PhD in Service Innovation (Cultural Crowdfunding) from Inland Norway University (2017-2023), MSc in Music Business Management from University of Westminster. Prior to academia, he coordinated Norway's Knowledge Works research center on cultural industries.
Research has explored crowdfunding adoption barriers, institutional behavior, and cross-national policy comparisons. He is an active contributor to international conferences and collaborates extensively in Nordic and European contexts.
