معرفی
Anders Michelsen is a Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Copenhagen, affiliated with the Faculty of Science. He specializes in terrestrial ecology, focusing on plant-microbe interactions and climate change impacts on ecosystems. His research integrates field studies, experimental manipulations, and stable isotope methodologies to understand nutrient cycling in Arctic, temperate, and tropical environments.
Educated at the University of Copenhagen (Ph.D. Botany, 1992; M.Sc. Biology, 1989), Michelsen has held academic positions since 1993, including roles as Associate Professor (1998–2012) and Full Professor (2012–present). He leads the Physiological Ecology Research Group and has coordinated major grants like the SapMyc project (Danmarks Frie Forskningsfond, 2022–2025).
His research interests include climate change effects on nutrient dynamics, plant-microbe competition, and mycorrhizal fungi roles. He supervises numerous students and has published over 300 peer-reviewed articles, with an h-index of 76 (Google Scholar). Michelsen teaches advanced ecology courses and coordinates programs on ecosystem processes and statistical analysis.
Key collaborations include the International Tundra Experiment (ITEX) and leadership roles at the Arctic Station in Greenland. His work addresses global challenges like Arctic greening and greenhouse gas emissions from ecosystems.
