Anders Malmberg is a Professor of Economic Geography at Uppsala University and Pro Vice Chancellor since 2012. He has held significant leadership roles including Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences (2008-2011) and Director of the Centre for Research on Innovation and Industrial Dynamics (CIND) (2003-2011).

His research focuses on industrial dynamics, cluster evolution, and local-regional development with emphasis on innovation processes in biotechnology and cultural industries. Funded projects include:
