Anders Ahlström is a Senior Lecturer at Lund University studying global carbon and water cycles and their interactions with climate change. His research combines field data with ecosystem modeling to examine how land use affects ecosystem states and stability. Current work focuses on Swedish primary forests and their role in carbon storage.
Key findings include drought resilience differences between natural and production forests, and mineral control mechanisms in soil carbon storage. Dr. Ahlström coordinates projects on forest water stress (WiSdoM) and contributes to BECC and MERGE climate initiatives. His work appears in Nature Geoscience, Nature Climate Change, and Global Ecology and Biogeography.
