Dr. Anderly Chueh is a Research Fellow in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Monash University. His research focuses on cancer biomarker discovery and small molecule drug development, with expertise in epigenetic enzymes, molecular oncology, and translation science. He completed his Ph.D. in Human Genetics (Paediatrics) at the University of Melbourne, followed by postdoctoral fellowships at the Ludwig Institute of Cancer Research and Walter and Eliza Hall Institute. His work has contributed to high-throughput drug screening and collaborations with pharmaceutical companies like Merck and Pfizer.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Human Genetics (Paediatrics), University of Melbourne (2004–2008)
- B.BiomedSc Honours in Human Development and Disease, University of Melbourne (2003)
- B.BiomedSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Melbourne (2000–2002)
Research Interests: Specializes in drug discovery for cancer therapies, biomarker identification, and epigenetic modulation. His current projects include developing precision oncology strategies for triple-negative breast cancer through collaborative grants. Utilizes HTS, proteomics, and genetically modified models to validate therapeutic targets.
Key Achievements: Recipient of the 2023 Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute Award for Industry Engagement. Contributed to licensing novel small molecules to multinational pharmaceutical companies. Active in grant review panels and editorial roles, including Bioscience Reports and Epigenomes.
Labs/Teams: Collaborates in the Daly Lab at Monash University and leads projects under the National Breast Cancer Foundation grant (2023–2025).
