Dr. Anca Minescu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and the European Centre for the Study of Hate at the University of Limerick. She joined UL in 2010 and served as Assistant Dean International for the Education and Health Sciences Faculty until 2023. Her work focuses on ethnic relations, migration, diversity, and inclusion from a social-psychological and cross-cultural perspective. Key projects include the Sanctuary with Psychology Project, providing intercultural competence training, and coordinating the Erasmus Mundus Global-MINDS program (€3.2M funding, 2022–2028). She holds a PhD from Utrecht University, with postdoctoral experience at UC Berkeley and the University of Sussex. Dr. Minescu’s research emphasizes reducing prejudice via interventions targeting social norms and group identities.
