Anaya Dam is a PhD Candidate at the Utrecht University School of Economics, affiliated with the Utrecht University Center for Global Challenges (UGlobe). She has served as a Tutor in Development Economics for research master’s and PhD students since 2021.

Research Interests: Anaya focuses on development economics, with specific emphasis on education, gender, intra-household dynamics, and soft/non-cognitive skill development. Her work spans Pakistan, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Uganda, utilizing randomized control trials and lab experiments.
Key Projects:
- Examining interventions to reduce child marriage through gender-targeted edutainment in Pakistan.
- Analyzing the impact of information transmission on intimate partner violence and household decision-making.
- Designing behavioral interventions to improve learning outcomes and well-being in Uganda and Kenya.
- Investigating workplace harassment reduction via social media experiments.
Experience: She visited the Development Innovation Lab at the University of Chicago in Spring 2023.
