معرفی
Anatoliy Gorbenko is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computing, Creative Technologies and Engineering, Leeds Beckett University, UK. He also holds a Visiting Professor position at the Department of Computer Systems, Networks and Cybersecurity, National Aerospace University, Kharkiv, Ukraine.
His educational background includes a M.Eng. in Computer Engineering (2000), Ph.D. in Computer Science (2005), and a D.Sc. habilitation (2012) from the National Aerospace University, Kharkiv. He served as Dean of the Aircraft Radio-technical Faculty from 2014 to 2016 and led the Service-Oriented Systems Dependability research group.
His research focuses on the dependability, performance, and security of distributed systems, cloud computing, and service-oriented architectures. Key areas include intrusion and fault tolerance, software vulnerability lifecycle management, performance trade-offs in NoSQL databases, green computing, wireless network sustainability, and risk analysis in aerospace systems. His work integrates mathematical modeling, stochastic analysis, and practical system design.
Current and recent research projects include:
- VULNERABILITY: Framework for rigorous software vulnerability management
- TRADE-OFF: Energy, latency, consistency trade-offs in distributed NoSQL systems
- SYNERGY: Energy-aware VM coexistence and rejuvenation in cloud data centers
- AVOID: Secure deployment of cross-platform web applications
- COSMO: Risk analysis of launch vehicle crashes and spacecraft failures
- Improving Policing of Cybercrime: Evidence-based digital forensics and cybercrime investigation
He teaches courses such as Computer Communications (Level 4), Digital Security Landscapes (Level 5), and Cloud Computing Development (Level 7). He is affiliated with the Cybercrime and Security Innovation Centre and contributes to interdisciplinary computing research involving human aspects of technology.
His research is application-driven, aiming to bridge theoretical rigor with real-world system resilience, security, and sustainability. He collaborates across institutions and domains, particularly in cybersecurity, aerospace systems, and energy-efficient computing.
