Anat Szendro Sevilla

Anat Szendro Sevilla is a Lecturer at the University of Maryland’s College of Information Studies (INFO) and teaches courses in Visual Design, Design Thinking, and Prototyping. She holds a BDes from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (Israel) and an MHI in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) from UMD (2022). Her professional career spans over a decade in visual design, including roles at agencies like TBWA and her own studio, TukTuk Design, specializing in UX/UI projects.

Her research interests focus on accessibility in design, the future of work, and creativity’s role in education. She is affiliated with the Human-Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL) and contributes to initiatives like the XFoundry mentorship program, guiding entrepreneurs in user-centered design. Her award-winning Holocaust memorial design reflects her commitment to socially impactful work.

Anat’s teaching emphasizes hands-on creativity and human-centered approaches. She has led projects for clients such as Forma Funds and REKAH Pharmaceuticals, showcasing her expertise in brand rebranding and usability.
