Anastasia Vergaki is a Lecturer at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and serves as the Assistant Director of the Irish Institute of Hellenic Studies at Athens. She is also a fellow researcher at Trinity College Dublin.
Her research spans the Aegean Bronze Age and Minoan archaeology, with a focus on domestic rituals and their influence on social organization. Additional interests include archaeological theory, architecture, social complexity, ethnoarchaeology, and pottery studies.
Dr. Vergaki earned her Ph.D. in 2021 from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in Late Bronze Age Crete. She actively disseminates her work through peer-reviewed journals, edited volumes, and international conferences.
Among her accolades, she was awarded the Filippo Maria Carinci Fellowship in Aegean Prehistory, underscoring her contributions to prehistoric archaeology.
