Her Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Credit is from Moscow State University of Technology.
Her research interests span urban economics, labor economics, spatial inequality, and the geopolitical dimensions of China's soft power. Key projects include 'Living Segregated Lives' (2024–2028), exploring digital transformation’s impact on spatial inequalities, and 'ReConnect China' (EU-funded, 2022–2026), analyzing Europe-China relations. She contributed to studies on coworking spaces in non-urban areas (2024), hybrid urban workspaces (2023), and post-pandemic remote work dynamics (2022).
She co-chaired the 'Cultures' track at the AESOP 2022 conference and organized a webinar on geopolitics and environmental sustainability. Her publications address museum visitor behavior, migrant housing segregation, and the interplay between industrial niching and workplace segregation.
Her work bridges economic theory with practical applications in urban policy, cultural diplomacy, and labor market dynamics, supported by grants exceeding €1.5 million from the Estonian Research Council, EU, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
