Dr. Anastasia Lin serves as Professor of English and Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs & Dean of Honors at the University of North Georgia's College of Arts & Letters. She teaches multicultural literature while overseeing the Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities and guiding students through nationally competitive scholarship applications.
Her academic credentials include:
- Ph.D. in English from the University of Georgia (2010)
- B.A./B.S. in English/Chemistry from Wofford College (2000)
Lin's research centers on transnational identity, literary cartography, and multiethnic literature with emphasis on Asian American poetry and GIS applications. She investigates spatial representation in texts like Karen Tei Yamashita's Tropic of Orange to explore cultural identity formation through geographical frameworks, pioneering classroom integration of digital mapping techniques.
Her publication trajectory reveals sustained innovation at the intersection of spatial theory and ethnic literary studies, with recurring focus on Asian American poets and transnational narratives.
