معرفی
Anastasia Fialkov is a Professor of Astrophysics and Cosmology at the Institute of Astronomy, University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on the early universe, particularly using the 21-cm line of neutral hydrogen to study cosmic reionization, dark matter properties, and transient phenomena like Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs).
- Ph.D. in Physics, Tel Aviv University
- B.Sc. in Physics and B.A. in Electrical Engineering, Technion, Israel
Her work spans astrophysics and cosmology, with emphasis on:
- 21-cm signal modeling and observations
- Dark matter nature and distribution
- Transients as cosmological probes
- Radio instrumentation constraints
- Star formation history
- Galaxy evolution
Recent publications analyze cosmic web structures in fuzzy dark matter models, FRB capabilities for reionization measurements, and HERA telescope constraints. Research trends show her evolution from early universe heating studies (2014) to modern transient-based cosmology and alternative dark matter models.
Scientific appointments include:
- Royal Society University Research Fellow (2019-2023)
- Senior Kavli Fellow (2018)
- ITC Fellow at Harvard (2015-2018)
- Junior Research Chair at ENS (2013-2015)
