Dr. Anand Nair is Professor & Jeff Bornstein Faculty Fellow in the Supply Chain & Information Management area at Northeastern University's D'Amore-McKim School of Business. He previously held the Eli Broad Endowed Professor position at Michigan State University and has served on the faculties of the University of South Carolina and Auburn University. He is also a fellow of the Center for Emerging Markets and an associate of the Center for Health Policy and Healthcare Research at Northeastern University.
Dr. Nair's research focuses on how firms, teams, and individuals learn, adapt, and organize to manage processes, supplies, technology, and innovation, with performance implications across manufacturing, healthcare, and retail sectors. His expertise includes inventory management, forecasting, lean systems, quality management, process improvement, technology implementation, and product development.
His scholarly work has been published in leading operations and supply chain management journals. He has held significant editorial roles, including Department Editor for the Journal of Operations Management and current Associate Editor for the Decision Sciences Journal, reflecting his influence in the academic community.

Dr. Nair actively mentors undergraduate and graduate students and teaches operations and supply chain management across MBA, Executive-MBA, undergraduate, and doctoral programs. He incorporates simulation games, case studies, and company-sponsored projects into his teaching. He has held leadership roles in professional organizations including the Decision Sciences Institute and the Operations and Supply Chain Management division of the Academy of Management, where he served as Program Chair for the 2024 annual meeting.
He is affiliated with the Center for Emerging Markets and the Center for Health Policy and Healthcare Research at Northeastern University, contributing to interdisciplinary research initiatives in global and healthcare systems.
