Anand Murugesan is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Department of Public Policy, Central European University (CEU), and a Senior Researcher (part-time) at the University of Vienna. He specializes in combining economic insights with causal inference methods to study social issues, including conflicts in India, the legacy of Habsburg imperial history on contemporary behaviors, and democratic participation norms.
