Ana Teresa Ribeiro is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and a Researcher at the Católica Research Centre for the Future of Law (CEID). She holds a PhD in Law from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (2020), following a Master’s (2010) and undergraduate degree (2008) in Law from the same institution.
Her research focuses on Labour Law, Collective Bargaining, Social Rights, and Administrative Structures. Key areas include the legal framework of labour relations, socio-economic impacts of legal policies, and the intersection of law with contemporary societal challenges like the Ukraine refugee crisis and pandemic-related labour issues.
She has contributed to projects such as CEID-CRCFL (2020–2025), SW&SC: Semi-workers and Semi-competitors (2022–2023), and Step Up PROTECTION (2020–2022). Recent publications address topics like the balance between freedom of association and public health measures during the pandemic, migrant workers’ rights, and legal protections for animals under civil law reforms.
Ribeiro actively engages in academic activities, including international lectures, editorial work, and examining doctoral theses. She is part of interdisciplinary teams addressing labour law challenges in digital economies and policy-making for posted workers’ rights.
