Dr. Ana Nikezić is a Full Professor and Vice-Dean for Science and University Cooperation at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade. She leads the Department of Architecture, focusing on urban housing, architecture-nature integration, sustainability, and heritage preservation. With over 20 years of teaching and 14 years of research experience, she mentors doctoral candidates and chairs postgraduate programs. Fluent in English and French, she has published over 30 works, including books like Formats for Urban Life and Spaces of Play – Košutnjak.
Research emphasizes connecting theoretical and practical architecture, particularly climate-responsive design and socially responsible education. Notable projects include the SPATTERN initiative for spa settlements and the HERSUS project promoting sustainability in heritage education. She actively participates in international conferences, workshops, and exhibitions, such as the Salon of Architecture and Balkan Architectural Biennale.
Engaged with organizations like the Serbian Society of Architects and Chamber of Engineers, she advocates for interdisciplinary approaches in urban and architectural design. Her work bridges academia and practice, fostering innovation in adaptive reuse, green architecture, and community-driven urbanism.
