Ana Montero Benavides

Ana Montero Benavides is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of León, affiliated with the School of Industrial, Computer and Aerospace Engineering. She earned her doctorate from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2017, specializing in statistical analysis of sleep apnea and speech disorders under the supervision of Dr. José Luis Blanco Murillo and Dr. Luis Alfonso Hernández Gómez.

Her research interests include:

• Applied Mathematics for biomedical problems
• Genetics-Environment-Health interactions
• Statistical modeling of sleep disorders

She is associated with the GIIGAS INTERACCIONES GEN - AMBIENTE - SALUD research group, focusing on interdisciplinary studies linking mathematical models with health outcomes.
