Prof. Ana Ivanišević Hernaus is an Associate Professor at the Department of Finance, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb. She holds a PhD in Economics (Finance specialization) from the same institution (2013). Her academic journey includes Specialist Postgraduate Studies in New Europe Master in Banking and Entrepreneurship (Treviso, Italy, 2006) and Financial Institutions and Markets (Zagreb, 2009).

Research Interests: Focuses on sustainable finance, ESG investment strategies, financial institutions, banking systems, and fintech applications. Her work also explores models of financing public interest purposes and transparency in financial industries. Active in international collaborations, including COST Action CA19130 (2020–2024) and research at the University of Pavia’s CAMRisk Centre.
Awards: Recognized for doctoral thesis (2014 Dr Pero Jurković Award), EDAMBA Thesis Competition (2015), and Mijo Mirković Award (2023) for impactful research in economics.
Teaching & Leadership: Teaches Financial Institutions and Markets (Croatian/English) and Commercial Banking. Developed a Sustainable Finance course. Served as Chair of the Organizing Committee for the 2022 International Conference TINFIN. Member of the Forum to Support Sustainable Financing (Croatian Government).
