Ana Cristina Falcato is a contracted researcher at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, NOVA University of Lisbon. She holds a PhD in Philosophy (specializing in Philosophy of Language) from NOVA University Lisbon (2011). Her postdoctoral research included stints at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (2013–2015), the University of Mainz (Germany), and the University of Oxford. She later worked at IFILNOVA (2015–2019) on J.M. Coetzee's impact on contemporary philosophy. Her research focuses on Ethics, Philosophy and Literature, Practical Anthropology, and African Studies. She has authored/co-authored books like Intersubjectivity and Values: Phenomenological Perspectives (2019) and Philosophy in the Condition of Modernism (2018). Her articles engage with Kant, Wittgenstein, and Coetzee, among others.
