Anaïs Ferot is a Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Oregon, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. She serves as the Science Coordinator for the National Science Foundation GeoPRISMS Program since 2016 and has held roles at institutions like the University of Michigan and Rice University.
- Education: PhD in Earth Science (2011), Master’s (2007), Bachelor’s (2006), and Associate (2004) degrees from French universities.
Research Focus: High-pressure and high-temperature experimental studies on water storage in Earth’s mantle minerals, including olivine, pyroxene, and stishovite. Techniques include FTIR spectroscopy, XANES, SIMS, and multi-anvil press experiments.
