Amy Simon is an Associate Professor at Michigan State University (MSU) with a joint appointment in the Department of History and James Madison College. She holds the William and Audrey Farber Family Chair in Holocaust Studies and European Jewish History, and serves as core faculty in the Serling Institute for Jewish Studies and Modern Israel (College of Arts and Letters). Her research emphasizes empathy as a historical method, focusing on victim-perpetrator dynamics, Holocaust diaries, and grey-zone behaviors during the Nazi era.
Dr. Simon's academic affiliations include the College of Social Science and collaborative roles with interdisciplinary programs.
