Dr. Amy Salisbury is Professor and Associate Dean for Research, Scholarship and Innovation at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing, holding the Ann Steigleder Endowed Chair for Research. Her work focuses on intergenerational health through community-engaged clinical programs.

Dr. Salisbury's research examines prenatal substance exposure impacts on fetal-infant development, maternal mental health, and infant sleep patterns. She directs the Mobile Health and Wellness Program delivering community-based healthcare. Her current NIH-funded projects investigate fetal assessment in substance-exposed pregnancies and long-term COVID effects in children.
Honors include the Ann Steigleder Endowed Chair and National Academies Education Fellowship. She serves on multiple NIH review panels and contributes to perinatal mental health guidelines through professional organizations.
