Amy O’Neill is a Lecturer in the Department of Art & Design and the First Year Program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). Her work focuses on exploring intersections of community and isolation through painting, examining the invisible structures that shape communal experiences. She holds an MFA in Painting & Drawing from UWM (2004) and a BFA in Visual Art from the same institution (1998).
Her paintings have been exhibited in juried and invitational exhibitions across the U.S., including in New York, Boston, St. Louis, Nashville, South Bend, and Los Angeles. Locally, her work has been featured at the Portrait Society Gallery, Milwaukee Art Museum, and the Charles Allis Art Museum.
