Dr Amy Nguyen is a Senior Research Fellow at Macquarie University's Australian Institute of Health Innovation (AIHI), specialising in digital health, aged care, and chronic disease management. She holds adjunct roles at UNSW Sydney as a Conjoint Associate Lecturer. Her research focuses on co-designing health technologies like smartphone apps, dashboards, and decision support systems for aged care settings. She serves as Associate Editor of BMC Medical Informatics and Decision Making, and as Digital Health Advisor to the Australian Digital Health Agency. Dr Nguyen advises the National Digital Medicines Advisory Group and has led projects such as the EU-funded Support4Resilience initiative and pharmacist-led medication reviews in aged care. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, with recent work addressing falls prevention, medication management, and telehealth communication. Her awards include the Biomedical Dora Lush Scholarship (2011) and the Commercialisation Training Scheme Scholarship (2011). She actively engages in STEM mentorship and policy advocacy, aiming to bridge research and practice in digital health.
