Amy Matthews

Amy Matthews is a Professor of Clinical Psychology specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Applied Behavior Analysis at Grand Valley State University. She serves as Project Director for the Statewide Autism Resources and Training (START) Project and chairs the Michigan Autism Council. Her academic background includes a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and M.A./Ph.D. from Binghamton University.

Research focuses on peer-mediated interventions, autism inclusion, and applied behavior analysis in educational settings. Notable achievements include the Outstanding Community Service Award (2012), Michigan Council for Exceptional Children Honor (2016), and State of Michigan Leadership Recognition (2019).
