Dr. Amy M. Alberton is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Texas State University's College of Applied Arts. She holds a PhD from the University of Windsor, Ontario, and has over 15 years of practice experience in mental health and addictions. Her research examines structural violence, colonialism, and their impacts on Indigenous Peoples, with emphasis on developing anti-oppressive practices and policies to address systemic barriers.
