Amy Kristin Sanders is the John and Ann Curley Professor of First Amendment Studies at the Bellisario College of Communications, Pennsylvania State University. She holds a JD and MA from the University of Iowa, and a PhD in mass communication from the University of Florida. Her expertise spans media law, ethics, and the regulation of emerging technologies, with a focus on freedom of expression and democratic values.

She served as the first female editor of *Communication Law and Policy*, a peer-reviewed journal. Her grants include National Science Foundation funding and pedagogy grants for integrating technology in education.
