Amy Howe is an interdisciplinary educator and Assistant Professor in the Core Division at Champlain College, with over 20 years of experience designing and teaching courses in gender studies, critical theory, American studies, and religious studies. She has held academic positions at Harvard University, Brown University, Middlebury College, Smith College, and Champlain College.

Her research and teaching focus on critical intersections of gender, race, and religion, with strong emphasis on experiential learning through community partnerships in rural humanities, digital humanities, and social justice initiatives. She serves as Academic Director of Women, Gender, and Representation for Smith’s summer Precollege Programs.
