Amy Hammerich

Amy Hammerich is an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy at Colorado Mesa University. She has 20 years of experience in physical therapy education, including 15 years as faculty at Regis University School of Physical Therapy (SOPT) and 5 years as affiliate faculty at Regis University and University of Colorado.

Her expertise spans orthopaedic and geriatric physical therapy, focusing on hip/pelvis and spinal conditions, aging joint issues, and exercise-based interventions to prevent falls and improve outcomes for older adults. Her PhD research specifically addressed low back pain outcomes in older populations.

She holds board certifications in Orthopaedics and Geriatrics and is a Fellow of the Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Association. Additionally, she is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with multiple fitness certifications.
