Amy Froide

Amy Froide is a Professor in the Department of History at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and Director of the Dresher Center for the Humanities. She teaches British history and European Women's History (1500-1800), with expertise in social, economic, and women's history.

Her research examines gender economics, marital status, and women's financial agency in early modern England. Key publications analyze singlewomen, female investors, and economic systems.
