Amy E. Sloan

Amy E. Sloan is the Dean Julius Isaacson Professor of Law at the University of Baltimore School of Law. She joined the faculty in 2001 and served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs from 2013 to 2017, overseeing academic scheduling, adjunct faculty coordination, and curriculum advising.

Her expertise focuses on legal research and writing, classical rhetoric, and appellate practice. She has held leadership roles in academic administration and is active in the Association of Legal Writing Directors.

Sloan previously directed the Legal Research and Writing Program at The George Washington University Law School and taught at Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law. She clerked for judges William M. Nickerson and Edward S. Northrop at the U.S. District Court for Maryland.
