Dr. Amy Conger serves as Vice Provost for Global Engagement at North Carolina State University, leading the division responsible for advancing global learning, research, and outreach across campus. Her office oversees study abroad programs, international student and scholar services, global training initiatives, the NC State European Center in Prague, the North Carolina Japan Center, and intensive English programs.
Her educational background includes:
- Bachelor's Degree, University of Wisconsin-Madison
- Master's Degree, University of Wisconsin-Madison
- Ph.D. in Higher Education and Public Policy, University of Michigan
Dr. Conger's research focuses on comparative higher education systems, the role of higher education in social change, campus internationalization, engaged learning, and global STEM programs. As a Fulbright alumna (Japan), she integrates firsthand international experience into her scholarly work on global education frameworks.

She directs NC State Global as the central hub for international partnerships, strategic planning, and initiatives like Wolfpack Welcome Week, Learning Beyond Borders programs in Cuba/Spain/Japan, and the North Carolina Youth Institute.
